LAB3 and Microsoft talk cybersecurity at Gartner IT Symposium 2023

Discover how automation, AI and a pragmatic approach to threat management is turning the tide in cybersecurity

CISOs and executive leaders will have an opportunity to learn about advanced cloud solutions for cybersecurity leveraging automation and AI at the upcoming Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2023

In an exclusive panel discussion, LAB3 and Microsoft will be sharing clever ideas and lessons learned, and in an exciting twist, Angle Finance will also be sharing their experiences.

Being held on the Gold Coast 11 -13 September, Gartner is a place where leadership, technology innovation and business strategy converge. Every year over a thousand CIOs and IT leaders come together to dive into the technology, insights and trends shaping the future of IT and business.

Given the AI-focus for technology innovation which LAB3 and Microsoft embrace, Gartner is a natural fit as a place to share insight.

LAB3 security expert, Anthony Wales, and Microsoft Public Sector Security Specialist, Ben Fletcher, will deliver a discussion which they have called Slaying Cyber Dragons: Lessons from the Frontline and Unique Strategies for Staying Ahead of Threats

Joining them will be Peter Haviland, CIO of Angle Finance. Angle Finance is a leading Australian non-bank lender specialising in faster easier finance and is a leader in adopting modern technology to disrupt the market.

The panel discussion promises to be compelling. It touches on new and progressive techniques being used by cyber leaders to bolster defence against bad actors and human error.

“The proactive approach taken by Angle Finance to building security natively into their environment, has reshaped their business and systems,” says Wales.

“Angle Finance has turned the tide on cyber criminals by leveraging automation with advanced AI to protect their environment, whilst also addressing vulnerabilities in their human firewall with intelligent monitoring.”

In addition to cyber security solutions, LAB3 specialises in cloud migration and foundations, and application modernisation. The industries focused on are Government, Finance, and Utilities, and clients include the Australian government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

“LAB3 gets results because we do things a bit differently. Our automation first approach provides a superior outcome for our clients,” says Reuben Bettle, Director of Federal, LAB3.

“Automation accelerates the delivery of services and solutions at speed and with minimal resources. This provides our clients with predictability.”

The good news for highly regulated organisations is LAB3 products and services already meet government compliance requirements – having security measures built in, which are consistent with IRAP and ISO/ISM27001 cybersecurity standards.

“With automated solutions, organisations can easily scale up or down, depending on current and future need. It is all about driving greater business value for our clients and optimising the efficiencies associated with the cloud,” says Bettle.

The LAB3 and Microsoft panel discussion is on Monday, 11 September from 5:25pm AEST, as featured in the Gartner Agenda. LAB3 also has the number 213 booth!  Swing by and check us out. There will be experts on hand to answer your questions.

Feel welcome to reach out to Anthony Wales or Reuben Bettle if you would like to secure a pre-arranged time for a chat.
