    Meet Tayla, LAB³ Alliance Partner

Leveraging LAB³’s technology partner ecosystem to the Nth degree

“I appreciate the opportunities I’ve been given to drive my career while having the flexibility to care for my children. My managers have always backed me with their support.”

After nearly a decade in corporate administration, Tayla first joined LAB³ in a sales operation’s role. She had been working in the construction industry and had strategically targeted technology as a new industry to work in, to both future proof her career and benefit from modern ways of working.

“It is equally as important to me to show up for my kids with school pick-ups and after school activities, as it is to advance in my career,” said Tayla.

“Working full time in an office would make it difficult for me to do both of these things, and I am grateful that LAB³ understands this reality for parents.”

Tayla has always been an ambitious career woman. Originally from New Zealand, she moved to Melbourne after completing high school to take up a short-term administrative role before supposedly heading to Otago to start university. However, Tayla soon found she enjoyed the perks of working life, and instead of studying she decided to climb in her career by learning on the job.

From the outset Tayla was intentionally proactive in extending herself and pursuing promotions and she has continued to do this at LAB³.

Initially, the sales operations role challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and provided a valuable opportunity to enhance efficiencies within the LAB³ Sales team,” said Tayla. “However, after about 2 years I found myself reflecting more deeply about my career and thinking seriously about what was next, what kind of role would continue to push me and align with what I’m truly passionate about.

Although ready for a career pivot, Tayla was uncertain about the direction to take. She wanted a role which involved interacting with people and getting stuck into the doing. At first, she considered moving into workforce management, but a new possibility emerged.

“Mid last year I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to extend my sales operations role and assist in the administration of managing our technology partnerships,” explained Tayla.

“Dipping my toes into partner land, I found it to be an area I was eager to dive deeper into, especially with the support and guidance of LAB³.”

Tayla secured her Alliance Partner role a few months later. Right from the start, Tayla has loved building relationships with LAB³’s technology partners and working alongside their teams.

“In my approach, it’s all about showing up, building strong connections, and establishing a solid partnership plan and foundation for success, while maintaining open communication and actively seeking feedback when needed,” explained Tayla.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to pinpoint areas for improvement and work together on clear, actionable steps that allow us to fully leverage our broader partner ecosystem.”

In a relatively short space of time, Tayla has already been impactful, helping build traction for LAB³ sellers from our technology partnerships, and playing a part in consequently achieving better outcomes for clients.

“My life can be chaotic, balancing a challenging role at work and parenthood. As a stress release, I do cross fit and Pilates two or three times a week,” said Tayla. “A hard work-out is a great dopamine hit.”
