Helping drive LAB³’s continued Year on Year Growth 

Bringing an unwavering passion for helping clients achieve business value from their digital investments, Kerry Purcell has recently joined LAB³ as an Executive Director focused on growth. 

Kerry has extensive experience in the highest leadership positions in the technology services industry in the APAC region and has helped drive significant change for business and government clients. Most recently Kerry has been the Kyndryl President for Australia and New Zealand and Chairman for Japan, and before this he was the Managing Director of IBM Australia and New Zealand.

  “It is exciting to have somebody of Kerry’s acumen join the LAB³ Senior Leadership Team,” says Chis Cook, CEO LAB³.

“Kerry will be helping drive our growth strategy and supporting key strategic deals.”  

As an industry disrupter, LAB³ has consistently attacked the ANZ market with agility and innovation. This has seen LAB3 pivot to become a product-led services business with a catalogue of unique IP.  

“Kerry’s arrival coincides at a critical time in the technology market, and his familiarity with Asia Pacific markets will be invaluable,” says Chris. 

Kerry is renowned for leading by example and pitching in to help teams and clients attack opportunities and overcome challenges. He has a reputation for being open, honest, and inclusive. 

“There needs to be a balance between supporting clients with new technologies, such as Generative AI, and helping clients optimise the legacy environment they run today,” says Kerry.

“We must recognise that more than 60% of enterprise applications are yet to be migrated to the cloud. So before jumping ahead of ourselves, technology partners need to make sure we meet clients where they are today and help them build the foundations for the future.”  

Why did Kerry join LAB³? The answer is simple. Kerry was attracted by two things: the passion in the whole team, led by Chris Cook, to drive meaningful change, and the potential of a growing business unencumbered by legacy.
