    The client is one of Australia’s largest manufacturers with a very large fleet of aging machines. Named as one of Australia’s Most Innovative Companies, this client focuses on sustainability as their competitive edge, and strives to achieve the gold standard for measuring manufacturing productivity (i.e., Overall Equipment Effectiveness, OEE).

    The client partnered with LAB3 to help modernise their use of data on the shop floor to better understand wastage, machine productive time and downtime.

    First, LAB3 worked in partnership with the client to understand what data was available from existing processes and machines. Any gaps in data required to calculate OEE were filled by additional system integration and by connecting net-new sensors.

    Next, LAB3 provided a cost effective and timely implementation of a data warehouse and decision support system with each line running on an iPad. Those visualisations helped drive deeper accountability within each site and improved OEE.

    LAB3 was then able to provide direct access to all machine data to allow the client to further develop reports, improve decision-making and increase site productivity.
